Does RMI offer witnessed burns?

RMI offers witnessed destruction in a designated area to satisfy this requirement.

What kinds of materials will RMI NOT accept and/or process?

RMI’s list of Non-Accepted Materials include but are not limited to:

  • Batteries

  • All liquids

  • Pressurized/sealed components (Aerosols, compressed gas cylinders, etc.)

  • Items containing large amounts of Mercury or Beryllium (exceeding EPA limits)

  • Cathode Ray Tubes (CRT)

  • Radioactive Material

  • Explosive Material, Munitions

What type of equipment does RMI use to meet the proper destruction requirements?

RMI utilizes double chamber, recirculating design incinerators for increased burn efficiency, temperature regulation, and emissions control.

What is RMI’s operating capacity?

Currently, RMI is equipped to process roughly 6,000lbs in an operating day. Processing weight varies based off size of materials needing to be incinerated given the incinerator chamber capacity of 34 cubic feet.
